Description
Arise! A benefit for Seth Eisen's solo show Blackbird: A Queer Vocal History

Arise! is a 1930’s queer speakeasy where a mingling of all kinds of people converge for the same illicit elixir: pleasure.

Come enjoy drinks and tasty treats while watching underground performance spectacles in a mix of circus, puppetry, drag, spoken word and live music.

Participate in the auction featuring outlandish costumes and other naughty delights and services, including a coaching session with renowned performance artist Annie Sprinkle.

ARISE! will feature Seth Eisen known for his exploits with Circo Zero, in a spectacular night of entertaining interdisciplinary theater. Speakeasy acts will showcase former Miss Trannyshack Fauxnique AKA Monique Jenkinson , underground music phenomenon Vinsantos; faerie folk singer Jim e Sparkle Pants; Susan Appe of a cappella group Samasara; performance artist/dancer-Maryann Brooks; and Brett Womack of Vaudevire and Circo Zero. Also performing are the Trailer Trash Trio, Brett, Bree, & Fleeky; The Transgender Omelet-Jupiter AKA Metallic Massai; Puppeteer, The Full Emily Butterfly of Big Tadoo Puppet Crew, spoken word artist Ed Wolf, and Aural delights by: DJ Malakai (El Circo).
