About Frjtz - Mission

Frjtz offers Belgian style pommes frites with over 14 different dipping sauces. The Frites are blanched and then fried to acheive natural crispness without the need to add extra starches. Try the chipotle remoulade for a smokey and yet spicy kick on your frites or perhaps the curry ketchup for a more traditional Indian experience. Frjtz also serves crepes, salads, focaccia sandwiches, Belgian beer and a nice selection of wines. There is garden seating and djs to make your visit more pleasant.

Frjtz doesn't just serve fries. They also serves lots of other "Cafe Eats" types of food. You can see their entire menu here!

A New Addition to the Mission

" Don’t let the swank, Euro décor fool you. The food at this new Mission eatery, which replaced Amira, remains on par with the original restaurant, which means it’s nothing to rave about -- nor to sneeze at. Along with the thick-cut Belgian fries and creative dipping sauces for which Frjtz is known, the restaurant's crepes, salads, sandwiches and mussels add a much-needed mellow, inexpensive option to this restaurant-rich strip of Valencia. "

" To a background DJ sound of electronic beats in tune with the hip Hayes Valley locale, this cool Belgian house of small eats serves up big paper cones full of thick Belgian fries with a wide selection of flavored ketchup and mayonnaises such as Creamy Wasabi Mayo, Ginger Orange Mayo, Caper Onion Ketchup and Curry Ketchup. There are also savory sandwiches, salads, and crepes to fill bigger appetites. Wash it all down with a proper Hoegaarden on tap on the outdoor patio out back. The feel is more lounge than cafe, but who needs coffee when you’ve got Belgian ale and fries. "
