The Gay Men's Buddhist Sangha is a lay group that meets every Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Hartford Street Zen Center for the purposes of providing a safe environment to support one another in our various spiritual practices. All gay men, including Buddhist newcomers, are most welcome. Look for our booth at Gay Pride Sunday and the Castro Street Fair.

The afternoon starts with a 20-30 minute meditation period. Brief instruction is offered for those who have not previously had a meditation practice. The meditation period is followed by a 15 minute break with tea and cookies provided. We then conclude with a presentation by a speaker and/or discussion.

If you are new to Buddhism, join us and learn about the teachings and apply them to your life. If you are a more experienced practitioner, join us and deepen your understanding of the teachings while sharing with others your experience with the Dharma.
