WHAT: The GLAAD Media Awards recognize and honor media for their fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and the issues that affect their lives.

WHO: Sharon Stone will receive the Vanguard Award. Focus Features CEO, James Schamus, will receive the Golden Gate Award. Jennifer Beals will present the Davidson/Valentini Award to Ilene Chaiken. Judith Light will present the Pioneer Award to David Mixner. Mayor Gavin Newsom will present a Special Recognition Award to *Theater Rhinoceros. Candis Cayne (/Dirty Sexy Money/) will host the event, and musician Dave Koz will perform. Guests include: Alan Cumming; Jason Lewis; Rex Lee; J.P. Calderon (/The Janice Dickenson Modeling Agency/); David Bromstad (/Color Splash/); GLAAD President Neil G. Giuliano. More names to be announced.

The New York GLAAD Media Awards event took place on March 17 at the Marriott Marquis, and the South Florida event took place on April 12 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. The Los Angeles event will take place on April 26 at the Kodak Theatre.
