Description
Is your social calendar suddenly empty after the flurry of Pride events? Already looking forward to next year’s San Francisco International LGBT Film Festival? Get your LGBT movie fix as the fourth season of Frameline at the Center continues with a screening of Frameline Distribution’s short film compilation Not | Gay.

When is a friend just a friend and when could he turn into something more? Sexual ambiguity blurs the lines of gay/straight friendships in Frameline Distribution's first-ever shorts compilation, released earlier this year. Not | Gay features four films—The Best Men, Cowboy Forever, Float, and Katydid—that all turn up the drama as audiences join the characters in asking “is he or isn’t he?”

All four Not | Gay films were LGBT festival favorites, including award-winners Float and Katydid. Float was given the audience award for Best Short Film at the Miami Gay and Lesbian Film Festival and was named Best Male Short at the Fire Island Film and Video Festival. Katydid was honored with the Rosebud Award for Best Narrative at the Media Arts Festival.

DVDs of the Not | Gay compilation will be on sale at the event for the special price of $20 (cash or check only, please). Pick up a copy for yourself and for your not-so-straight friends.

Kindly arrive early as seating is limited. Don’t miss this FREE screening of these “fun in the summer” shorts

With generous support from Folsom Street Events, Frameline proudly presents admission-free screenings at the San Francisco Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center at 7:30pm on the second Thursday of every month throughout 2008.

Please join us for the fourth season of Frameline at The Center, a provocative series of films and discussions focusing on social issues of particular relevance to the LGBT community.
