About Pres a Vi

At Pres a Vi we try to maximize the variety of food and wine you can experience in one visit by offering small portions of both food and wine.

A variety of dining choices awaits guests, all reflecting executive Chef Kelly Degala's commitment to global cuisine. Chef Degala infuses each dish he creates with flavors and tastes from around the world, which includes Spanish, Filipino, French, Italian and Latin American influences.

The dinner menu consists of:

1. First Course small plates
2. Second Course small plates
3. Main Course

With this format you can choose to eat ‘small plates style’ and share your food or eat in a traditional style.

Small plates are served in the cocktail lounge all day and night.

Pres a Vi has an extensive wine program, representing wine regions from diverse countries around the world, and the best of California's wine.To compare wines, flights are featured, which consist of three 3-ounce glasses of wine. Tasting notes help guests to determine their favorites.

Reviews:

San Francisco Chronicle:

“Parts of Asia, Europe and the South Pacific are all represented through dishes like duck buns, lumpia and a delicious surf and turf. Chef Kelly Degala – who grew up in Hawaii and trained in Italian and French cooking - brings international flair to the small plates menu…creative cross-cultural blending…a lot to choose from on the menu which offers more than 30 savory items…Dovetailing with these eclectic dishes is an extensive beverage list that includes well-made cocktails and at least 16 wine flights offered by the taste or the glass.... the staff is adept at pacing the dishes and bringing clean plates, so the flavors don't mix further. The kitchen and staff work together to ensure that diners have a good experience....While the meal can exhaust the palate with the bombardment of intense flavors, there's a lot to love -- and a lot to see. Pres a Vi is a great introduction to the Letterman complex, and it serves the neighborhood well. ”

Dining Out: San Francisco: Perbacco, Pres a Vi Wine plays a key role at two new crowd-pleasers

“Wine plays a major roll at Pres a Vi, a hot new restaurant that draws a hip after-work crowd …the eclectic menu touches on many of the ethnic cuisines that San Francisco loves…You would expect to pay much more for such generous servings in a restaurant that looks this good and achieves this kind of quality in taste and presentation.

The same applies to wine at Pres a Vi. The flights average $15 to $20 for three wines, and I guarantee they're not what you had for dinner last night. We had great fun mixing and matching with a Spanish flight ($18.75) that featured Arrels Sangre de Garantxa 2003 from Tarragona and the "director's choice" at $21.75 that included a lively Sur de Los Andes Torrontes 2006 from Argentina and Grant Burge Cabernet Sauvignon Shadrach 1999 from Australia....the park-like setting offers a stunning view of the palace of Fine Arts and the Golden Gate Bridge.”
