Robert Moses’ Kin, one of the Bay Area’s most compelling choreographers, returns to YBCA with the world premiere of Toward September, a thrilling new work commissioned by YBCA, about the divine impulse of artistic creation. Since 1995 Robert Moses and his company of beautifully athletic dancers have created works ranging from neoclassical ballet to postmodern movement theatre. His choreography is a powerful combination of athleticism and rhythmic complexity and he pushes himself forward to resist stagnation.
